5 MUST-VISIT CITIES

If you are a traveler and you love English, there are some cities you can’t miss. These are our 5 favourite places where you can practice English and get fascinated while sightseeing.

LONDON

The capital of England. It is obviously a place you must visit before you die. Its diverse range of people and cultures makes London one of the best places to taste food and dishes from all over the world. Visit the British Museum, especially Ancient Egypt and Sudan Department, take a picture at Tower Bridge at night and have a walk around Notting Hill or Soho, some of its most famous districts. Of course, do not forget to go shopping in Camden Town market!

EDINBURGH

The city itself is a “must” because it is a magic place to get lost. Edinburgh buildings date from different historical periods, and the beauty of their architecture can be admired just walking on the streets.

The most famous spots are the Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile or Calton Hill and the Scottish National Monument. However, take in mind that you also have the opportunity to enjoy the Harry Potter sites or the spooky tour in haunted Edinburgh by night and some of them are free!

CAPE TOWN

Cape Town, capital of South Africa, is not a common destination for people to practice English, its official language. It might not be our first choice because of the distance but Cape Town can be considered one of the best experiences from the point of view of cultural difference and landscape.

Table Mountain, where the views are spectacular, or a coastal walk at the breathtaking Bourders Beach, where you can see penguins, are just the tip of the iceberg. Cape Town is much more: its historical architecture, colourful cuisine and traditions will make your trip unforgettable.

SIDNEY

Apart from the peculiar architecture of Sidney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks and the oldest district of the city, Sidney is awesome because of its amazing sights or landscapes, like the ones you can enjoy at Mrs. Macquaries Point. Moreover, all the travelers visiting Australia highlight the hospitality of its people. It is undoubtedly one of the best destinations to practice your English.

NEW YORK

Nothing to say about the most populated city in the USA. A trip to New York must be in your bucket list. From the Statue of Liberty to a shopping day, New York has everything you expect from a big city.

The cultural offer is enormous, and you can’t miss the most famous constructions there, as the Empire State Building or Brooklyn Bridge. What about a walk through Central Park?

Would you include other cities whose official language is English in this top 5 list? Let us know and we will write about them soon!
